Boone Electric Cooperative helps area science teachers in their efforts to teach students about electricity. One of the ways we help is through a box trailer stocked with various items from the utility industry.
The trailer contains items used to carry the flow of electricity to homes and businesses, as well as the equipment used by cooperative linemen. Everything inside can be transported into a classroom, or teachers can use the trailer as an outdoor classroom.
In addition, our staff can assist in the classroom. We have an Energy Jeopardy game geared toward junior and senior students, as well as simple science experiments that teach the concepts of electricity.
If you are a science teacher interested in having the trailer at your school for a few days, please contact Boone Electric’s Communications Department at 573-449-4181.
